James Patrick “Pat” Ziebarth
Born: May 11, 1944
Passed: April 1, 2020
He was born in Denver to Martin and Hazel Ziebarth of Commerce City, CO; He was the baby of 10 children; 8 boys and 2 girls; and the only one born in a hospital.
He was married to the love of his life, Marie Jeffries on September 2, 1968 and also took her daughter, Debra Jeffries (Allen Griffith) as his own. They lived in Commerce City where he had grown up and attended school. He had a wonderful son-in-law, Allen; 2 grandchildren, Jana Griffith, and Brad “BJ” Griffith (Jennifer Griffith), 2 great-grandchildren Riley and Bailey Griffith; extended grandchildren Heather, Nikki, Nick and Becca, and Will who showered him with extended great-grand children; Katie, Aubrie, Josh, Emily, Piper, and Max.
He was so loved by his family and friends and especially by his nieces and nephews who just loved their “Uncle Pat”. He had a joyful, happy demeanor and could make friends with anyone.
He loved John Wayne, John Elway, and Elvis Presley, and man did he love to dance. The nurses at the Alzheimer’s home said they would put on oldies music and love to watch him dance. He was Bronco season ticket holder and avid Broncos fan. He loved going to the games with his “Bronco Family”. Oh, he loved the Rockies too, but he bled orange and blue.
He now joins his wife, parents, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and many other family members in heaven. I know he can once again remember, talk, walk, laugh, love and give hugs; all the things that Alzheimer’s robbed from him, he can do again. He touched our lives so deeply and has left deep foot prints in our hearts. We will love and miss him always, and forever hold him in our hearts.
