Jean Marie Ebel, age 82, passed away Thursday evening, March 16, 2023, after a recent stroke. She was born on June 8, 1940 in Kimball, NE. She attended Cheyenne, WY Central High School and graduated with the class of 1958. She later attended Barnes Business College in Colorado Springs for accounting. In 1984 Jean and her brother Ron moved to Brighton. Soon after she became the first employee hired by Kaiser Consulting (now Kaiser Institute) and worked there as an accountant/office manager until retiring in 2018. She also sold Shaklee wellness products for several decades.
Jean had many interests including cooking, home decorating, flower arrangements, playing pinochle with family and friends and scrabble just to name a few.
She was a lifelong Christian who always was active in the church choir. She was a devoted member of the Elmwood Baptist Church in Brighton where she maintained numerous close relationships with many members of the congregation over the years.
Preceded in death by her parents Emanuel and Lucille Ebel of Cheyenne, WY and her uncle, Donald Henry of Brighton, CO.
She is survived by her brother Ron of Brighton, CO; sister Karen (husband Dale) of Thornton, CO; brother Jack (wife Catherine) of Steamboat Springs, CO; niece Jill Minard of Littleton, CO and nephew Brent Carey (wife Kristine) of Arvada, CO.
