Jerome John Williams (Jerry) was born on November 28, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Carl and Adeline Williams.
He was married to Jerry Jr.’s Veronica, and Adeline’s mother before I met him. We met in 1978 and went together for three years and married on October 17, 1981. I brought Erin, Kim, and Michael to the marriage. From our children, we have 30 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. All live in different states.
Jerry worked at various jobs throughout his life. He was a school bus driver, worked for plumbing supply, and his last job was a driver for an auto supply warehouse in Texas in 2018, when he was 84, he drove 250 miles a day for almost four years. Then we moved to Brighton, CO, to live with our son Michael and his wife Stacey. We have been very happy here.
Jerry liked to drive. In April of 2023, we drove to Ohio for a church conference. Then in May of 2023, we drove to California for Mother’s Day with our other daughter Erin. Then on to Texas in September to see friends.
In 2024, in September, we drove to Maryland for our granddaughter Sammy’s wedding, then on to Aiken, South Carolina, to meet our grandson Jason and his family, then to Tennessee to see our daughter Kimmie. During all these trips Jerry drove - his favorite thing.
