Joan Carol Trabing
Joan Carol Trabing, age 94, was born on June 6, 1928 in Parsons, Kansas to Oris and Irene (Elam) Duvall. Joan was the middle child of five. She grew up and attended schools in the Parsons, Kansas area.
Joan married Robert Williams on December 8, 1944 and loved being a wife and mother to their 5 children. After their divorce, she married Dale Trabing on April 11, 1972 and the two resided in Lochbuie and Brighton, Colorado until his death in 2012.
Joan had a talent for sewing, crocheting and baking. She made numerous afghans, sock monkeys, and Raggedy Ann dolls. Other hobbies were jigsaw puzzles, camping and gardening.
Joan is survived by her children: Carol (Ross) Wilkinson, Judy (Gary) Mattson, Kathy (Joe) Arp, and Jerry (Amy) Williams and step children: Marjean Gohd, Robert (Gail) Trabing, Richard (Renae) Trabing, Vickie (Desi) Young, 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, four great-great grand children, and one sister, Aretha Seifert of Cherryvale, KS.
Joan was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Dale Trabing, her son Robert Williams Jr. and siblings; Wayne Duvall, Edythe (Duvall) Linn and Neal Duvall.
Joan's final resting place is with her husband, Dale at Elmwood Cemetery, Brighton, Colorado.
