Jody Allen Cabrera

Jody Allen Cabrera, 44, of Hudson, Colorado passed away on September 1, 2020. 

Jody was born in Sterling, Colorado on September 4, 1975 to Robert and Linda Cabrera. Jody attended Sterling High School and graduated in 1994.  Jody married Victoria Hamil on September 26, 1998 at the First Presbyterian Church in Sterling, Colorado.

When Jody and Victoria lived in Fort Collins, Jody enjoyed riding his Harley with his close friends. They moved to Arizona in 2002, where they enjoyed horseback riding and caring for their animals.  In 2006, Jody and Victoria moved back to Colorado. Jody worked for Air Comfort for 12 years as an HVAC installer. He loved fishing, cooking, and working on his farm in Hudson.  Jody and Victoria enjoyed trail riding and working with their horses: Junior, Grace, Otto, and Ava.

Jody was an amazing son, husband, and uncle.  He was always there for his family; he was their rock. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 1pm at 24515 County Road 57, Kersey, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in Jody’s memory.
