Joe S. Martinez III, aged 61, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on January 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 22, 1963, in Lubbock, Texas, Joe dedicated his life to faith and community, proudly serving as the pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Denver for over 30 years.

Joe was a beacon of light and hope to all who knew him, embodying the love and teachings of Christ in every aspect of his life. His unwavering faith and relentless devotion to his congregation have left an indelible mark on countless lives.

Joe is survived by his parents, Joe and Lorene Martinez; his three sisters, Elaine, Bonnie, and Devona; his children, Joe S. Martinez IV, Aubrey N. Ayala, and Jonathan N. Martinez; his eight grandchildren; his later wife Gladys Mata. Joe’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and devout service will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know him.
