John Arthur Brassington

John was born in Denver Colorado to William and Suzanne Brassington and was the oldest of three siblings.  He graduated from Adams City High School in 1973 and married his High School Sweetheart Jimetta Frazzini on June 29th, 1974.

John spent his whole life in Colorado working with his father as carpenter.  In 1992 the Family bought 140 acres of farmland outside Hudson Colorado and that’s where they called home.  The Family raised pigs for their 4-H projects and once his children were grown and out of 4-H John started raising beef cattle and tended to his daughter and son-in laws flock of sheep.  John also had the task of tending to the farms hay fields.  The farm has been home for his children and grandchildren’s numerous 4-H animal projects through the years.

John was a leader for Adams County 4-H for 39 years.  His involvement through those years included Swine Superintendent, Livestock Chair, Sale Committee Chair and Shooting Sports Coach.  John was a coach for Riffle, Shotgun, and his favorite Archery.  Even when their kids were out of 4-H John and Jimetta volunteered as chaperones for many 4-H functions and camps.  And when fair rolled around John was always at the swine show in the ring with a pig board in his hand.

John is survived by his wife Jimetta; Father William; brother Jeff and sister Debbie.  His three children; daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Mike; son Jason and daughter-in-law Melissa; son Justin and his Family. His two nephews Brian and Jeremy; along with five grandchildren; Justin, Tyler, Jordan, Deegan, Breanna and two great grandchildren; Wesley and Kinzlee.  He is preceded in death by his mother Suzanne, father-in-law James and mother-in-law Mildred.
