John Hoffman Obituary

John Wayne Hoffman, 75, of Commerce City, Colorado passed away on November 11, 2019. He was born October 14, 1944 in Brighton, Colorado to Godfrey and Lena (Bisbee) Hoffman. John attended public schools in Brighton. He married June Morrison on November 13, 1965 in Brighton, Colorado. John worked as a plumber doing new construction most of his life. He worked for Franzen and Sons and B&L Plumbing. John has spent his entire life in the Commerce City and Brighton areas.

John was a very loyal and dedicated Denver Broncos fan. He was an avid bowler and laid claim to taking third place in the state of Colorado. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball. For many years, he owned a cabin, in Pine, Colorado, where he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hiking. When given time in his later years John looked forward to traveling both abroad and near.

He is survived by his wife, June; sons, John (fiancé, Amy) Hoffman of Commerce City, Colorado and Eric (Tammy) Hoffman of Hudson, Colorado; three siblings, Larry (JoEllen) Hoffman of Ft. Lupton, Colorado, Carol (Ernie) Valdez of Brighton, Colorado, and Debi (Bob) Bonacquisti of Georgetown, Texas; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mathew, Hannah, Miranda and Brandon; and two great grandchildren, Wayland and Reidyn. John is preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Paul; and a sister, Sharon.

Funeral Services for John will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019, beginning at 11:00 AM at Tabor Funeral Home, 75 South 13th Avenue, in Brighton, Colorado, with viewing held prior to services. Graveside Service will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

The family would like to invite all who attend to a pot luck at the Columbian Home Event Center, 1096 East Bridge Street, in Brighton, CO 80601 immediately after the Graveside Services.
