Joleen Rodman Obituary

Joleen C. (Hoffman) Rodman, known affectionately as Jo, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2023, in Brighton, CO. Born on December 10, 1958, in Denver, CO, she was a beloved wife, a devoted mother, a caring sister, and a cherished aunt.

Joleen was a proud alumna of Brighton High School, graduating in the class of 1977. Her working life began at Miceli's Pizzeria during her high school years, where her work ethic and commitment to service were first recognized. In 1990, she married the love of her life, Don Rodman, and subsequently devoted herself to being a full-time homemaker and mother to their son, Eric.

Joleen's family was the cornerstone of her life. She was not just a mother to Eric, but an active participant in his education, volunteering at his school, attending all his programs and parties, and always encouraging him to strive for greatness. Her love extended to her husband, Don, her siblings, nephews and nieces, and her in-laws.

Beyond her family, Joleen was an individual of many talents. She was a master crafter, her knitting, crocheting, and painting skills were nothing short of amazing. The sweaters, socks, and afghans she crafted were not only beautiful but were tangible proof of her creativity and love for her family and friends. Her love for reading was well-known, often staying up late into the night, engrossed in a good book. Her intelligence shone through in her love of literature and the insightful discussions she would engage in.

Joleen was best described as loving, creative, and intelligent. Her love was all-encompassing, evident in her devotion to her family and her nurturing nature. Her creativity was not just limited to her crafting but was a part of her daily life, always finding innovative solutions to problems. Her intelligence was not just bookish but was a deep understanding of life and people, which made her the confidant for many.

As we remember Joleen, we celebrate a life well-lived, a woman deeply loved, and a legacy that will live on in the hearts and lives of those she has touched. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will forever be a testament to a life of love, creativity, and intelligence. Rest in peace, Joleen, you will be greatly missed.
