Jose Luis Aguilar

A Loving Farewell—

Jose Luis Aguilar, 64- gained his crown and wings in heaven on January 2, 2022 after a hard-fought battle with pulmonary fibrosis; beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle. 

Born September 18, 1957 in San Lucas Ocampo, Durango Mexico to Fortino Aguilar and Macaria Chacon.  His family moved to Tecate, Baja California Mexico.  In 1975 he was married and his children were born during this time of marriage and became like an older brother to his wife’s younger siblings.

Jose Luis received an accounting degree and was an accountant for some years before moving to Colorado in the United States.  He loved music, laughter, fishing, hunting in his younger years and he enjoyed heading to the casinos later in life- most of all among playing baseball and football soccer he enjoyed anything Volleyball—his favorite sport and one he was proud to coach for for many years and also played in many teams.

He loved to sing karaoke for family gatherings and his laughter was a contagious one.  A hard worker who did his best for his family.  A true fighter till the end who knew in his weakness his strength came from God and placed his faith and trust in Him.

His stories, laughter and smile will surely be missed but we know now he sheds no tears, there’s no more fear and his health is restored.  He finished the race and has entered into the joy of our Lord Jesus.

Jose Luis is survived by his children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters and extended family in Colorado, Arizona, Baja California and Durango Mexico.
