Jose R. Welch

Jose Richard Welch, age 75, passed away at his home on Jan. 14, 2022. He was born on July 15, 1946 in Monte Vista, Colorado to Julian Willie Welch and Casilda Medina.

Richard married Diana Jimenez on March 22, 1970. Richard served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Throughout his career, he held jobs in agriculture, the concrete industry and last worked at Tagawa Farms prior to retirement. Mr. Welch enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, making trips to Blackhawk with his wife Diana and taking part in the longtime Welch tradition of playing bingo.

Richard is survived by his wife Diana; sons Richard Welch and Joey Welch (Justine) of Brighton; and Eric Jimenez (JoMarie) of Denver; grandchildren Joseph Michael Welch Jr.; “His Little Petunia” Brooklyn, Uriah and Jerzi Welch of Brighton; Esiah and Eli Jimenez of Denver; sister Margaret Crespin of Penrose, brothers Louis Welch of Berthoud, Harry Welch of Loveland, Jerry Welch of Broomfield and Epifanio Welch (Patty) of Mesa, Arizona.
