It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose (Julian) Navarro, a beloved resident of Fort Lupton, Colorado, who went to be with his Savior on October 23, 2024, at the age of 77. Julian was born on March 18, 1947, in Delta, Colorado, to Julio and Mary Elaisa Navarro. Known for his deep faith and commitment to praying for others, Julian’s sense of humor made him a joy to be around, and he touched many lives with his warmth and kindness.
Julian lived a life filled with curiosity and a love for learning. He read his Bible daily, always seeking to deepen his understanding, and he pursued knowledge in a wide range of subjects. He was a fan of garage sales, always on the lookout for a treasure, where his love for negotiating was often matched by his enjoyment of thought-provoking conversations with the people he met along the way.
Throughout his life, Julian spent many years as a realtor in California, helping others find their forever homes. He later transitioned to a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where he continued to serve others with compassion.
Julian is survived by his daughters, Elaisa Navarro and Mary Linn Navarro-Street, while his daughter, Selena Navarro, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Julio and Elaisa Navarro, and his siblings, Albert Sisneros, Joe Sisneros, Eliseo Sisneros, and Orlinda Aragon.
He leaves behind his loving siblings: brothers John Navarro, Alfred Navarro, Margarito Cristobal (Chris) Navarro, Freddie Navarro, Joe (Andy) Navarro, and his sister Mary Louise Morales. Julian is also survived by his grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family members, as well as his fiancée, Dee Jones, and his five stepchildren, Victor Rubio, Martha Rubio, Jesus Rubio, Miguel Rubio, and Cardiel Rubio, who will miss him dearly.
His family and community will forever remember his kindness, his rounds of prayers, his joking personality, his mischievousness, and his love for good conversations. Julian’s presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of faith, love, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
May he rest in eternal peace.
