Joseph Medina Obituary

Joseph Gilbert Medina was born on December 17th 1951 in Springer, New Mexico to Mary and Abencio Medina. Joseph was the second oldest sibling under Tony Medina, and followed by Arthur (Maxine) Medina, Mike (Ida) Medina, Dina (John) Stoffel, and Maria (Mark) Seggebruch.

He grew up in Fort Collins and Brighton, and graduated from Brighton High School.

He married the love of his life, Diana Montoya on July 26th 1975. He had two daughters, Michelle and Jillian.

He spent his early adulthood working as a carpenter, eventually becoming a truck driver for Roadway Express, retiring as a teamster after 25 great years.

He enjoyed working on his house and using his carpentry skills, camping with his family, and spending time with his grandchildren. Joseph and Diana always prioritized vacationing and seeing the world with each other, with their friends, and family. They traveled through Europe, the Caribbean, and all throughout the states.

He was an active member of Word Alive Church where he served in the alter ministry and served praying along with his wife Diana for his Pastors, Randy and Veronica. He dedicated his life to spreading the gospel and the love of Jesus for many years dedicating those years serving the Lord in corporate ministry. He loved people and was a great encourager and took pride in mentoring. Throughout their years in church and ministry, he along with his wife gained many lasting beautiful relationships. Joseph cherished those deeply.

Joseph never took life too seriously. He was always the jokester - while still remaining caring, gentle and kind. Kids loved his playful spirit and he was a favorite among his nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren so much and there was not anything he wouldn’t do for them.

He reunited with Jesus on the day of love, February 14th 2026. Joseph was a man of love. He was an amazing husband, father and pompo.

Joseph is preceeded in death by his parents Mary and Abencio, brother Tony and sister Dina. He is
survived by his wife Diana, Daughters Michelle and Jillian (Dominic) Mascarenas, and six grandchildren Mikayla (Sasha) Price, Nathaniel Mascarenas, Jerrika (Daniel) Oller, Givin Mascarenas, Elijah Eisenbarth and Nick Eisenbarth.
