Joseph A Romero Jr.
Joseph Romero Jr., 84, of Brighton, CO, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 12, 2025, in Greeley, Colorado due to sudden cardiac arrest.
He was born to Joe and Abrelia Romero on February 23, 1941. He was the 4th of 11 children.
He attended Fort Lupton Schools and married Priscilla Martinez in December 1963. Together they had 3 daughters, Julie, Janice and Jill.
Joseph worked for Trammell Crow Company in Denver for 9 years. He then worked at Pierce Aluminum in Fort Lupton for 5 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his extended Family and Friends. He also took pride in taking care of his trucks and playing pool. He was well known for his infectious laugh.
At a very early age, he was forced to retire due to health issues.
In 1989, he married Sharon Rumery, they were married for 36 years, and she was endlessly devoted to him.
In 2007, he had a triple bypass and subsequent procedures due to ongoing heart issues that he ultimately succumbed to.
Joseph is survived by his Wife Sharon and Daughters Julie (Jerome), Janice (Felix) and Jill. He is also survived by Sharon’s Children, Rodney, Gina (Andy), Michael (Jennifer), Theresa, Grandchildren Nicole (Mike), Jerome (Katy), Ashlie, Felix Jacob (Jonelle), Jacob (Lori), Jonathan,Michael James, Matthew, Roger, Bronco, Davianne, RJ, AshleeAnn, Megan, James, George. Great Grandchildren Destiny, Faith, Joy, Isaiah, AshlieMae, Caden and great great granddaughter Ophelia, his loving Sisters and Brother, Carmel Lopez, Helen Haney, Judy Taylor, Duane Romero, Karen Navarette, Shirley Sanchez and Linda Legat and numerous nieces and nephews who he loved and who loved him very much.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Abrelia Romero, Sisters Isabel Saunders, Dorothy Romero and Great Granddaughter Giavanna.
