Josie Patricia Gonzales, 76, went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2024, in Westminster, Colorado.
Josie was born August 1, 1947, in Denver, Colorado to Nick and Margaret Gonzales. She was the middle child of 3 siblings all girls. Josie grew up in Denver and graduated from East High School Class of 65’and from there received her Cosmetology license and later became the owner of two Beauty Salons in which she was able to provide services in the career she loved.
Josie married Joe W. Lujan on November 22, 1968, and they were blessed with their daughter Christina a few years later. Through the years Josie has had the opportunity to help others in their time of need. She became a Case Manager working with families, seniors and individuals with housing, medical care, and legal matters. She was a big part of her church community always volunteering in projects, assisting others when needed. Josie loved her family, her church, and her friends very much she truly cared about everyone she knew as well as received the same love back from others. She loved the Lord with all her heart serving him faithfully through the years. It is truly a blessing and a comfort to know that we will see her again in Heaven.
Josie is preceded in death by both parents, Nick and Margaret Gonzales. She is survived by her daughter Christina “Tina” (Bernard) Chavez, and grandsons Anthony “Tony” Chavez, Bernard Chavez, II. Sisters Marcella (Jerry) Garcia, Diana (John) Montoya and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.
