Josie Marie Olivas

Mrs. Josie Marie Olivas, age 69 of Commerce City, Colorado passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2024, at her residence. She was born on February 10th, 1955, in Brighton, Colorado. A daughter of the late Margarito & Mary Gomez. She meets the love of her life Dennis in 2007 and loved him until he took his last breath. She was a homemaker, she always made anything a home, and made everyone always feel welcome. She was everyone “Mom & Nana”.

Josie enjoyed listening to music, sewing, and doing arts & crafts. She enjoyed cooking beans, chili, & sopapillas. Loved canning chili & spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Josie is to survive by her 3 children, 1 son-in-law & 1 daughter-in-law. Priscilla (Hector) Ruiz, Angela Olivas, & Tony (Lorie) Olivas. Her 11 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren and 1 sister Thresea (John) Casias.

Josie was preceded in death by her Husband Dennis. Her parents Margarito & Mary Gomez. Her brothers Joe, Leroy, Larry (Eddie), & Tony Gomez. Her sisters Gloria Maestas & Annamay Gomez.
