Joyce Kay Huett, age 79, of Fort Lupton, Colorado, passed away peacefully at her home on March 6, 2026.
Joyce was born on October 5, 1946, in Gettysburg, South Dakota. She built a life centered around family, creativity, and dedication to everything she did.
Joyce worked for over 30 years as a manager for the phone company, where her strong work ethic and leadership were valued by many. After retiring, Joyce embraced the opportunity to devote her time to the hobbies and talents that brought her so much joy. She became an exceptionally talented china painter, and her work was even published in a magazine. Joyce had a remarkable gift for creativity and craftsmanship. She was an accomplished quilter, seamstress, artist, and crocheter, and she was also known as a fantastic cook and baker. Everything Joyce created was done with care, patience, and perfection.
Joyce also found great joy in gardening and spent many hours tending to her garden, where she grew beautiful flowers that reflected the same beauty and attention she brought to all parts of her life.
Above all, Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished time with her family and especially loved traveling with her husband, Richard. Together they created many wonderful memories, including spending time in Mexico, one of their favorite places.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Richard Allen Huett; her daughter, Denise; her son-in-law, Hans; and her cherished granddaughter, Kaylee. She is also survived by her sister, Dianne, as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember her with love.
Joyce will be remembered not only for the beautiful things she created, but for the love, warmth, and care she shared with everyone around her. Her family will forever treasure the memories they made with her, and the pieces of her heart she left behind in every china piece, every meal, every flower she grew, and every moment spent together.
