He lived a life marked by strength, faith, and purpose. Manuel was a Christian man whose heart was grounded in hope and whose spirit was shaped by perseverance. He carried himself with dignity, and he met life’s challenges with a steady determination that inspired everyone around him. He was the kind of man who did not merely endure hardship, but rose through it with courage. He showed that real greatness is not measured by applause, but by the way a person serves others, loves deeply, and remains faithful through every season of life.

Manuel worked many years as a Concrete Masonry Worker, and through that work he helped build the foundations upon which others could stand. His labor was honest, his hands were strong, and his commitment was unwavering. He understood the value of hard work, and he brought pride and integrity to everything he did. Those who knew him understood that his work was more than a job. It was a reflection of who he was, a man who believed in doing things well, doing them faithfully, and doing them with honor.

Beyond his work, Manuel was a man of deep interests and rich passions. He loved music, and he appreciated the way it could lift the heart and bring people together. He loved reading and learning about the Bible, and his faith was not only something he spoke about, but something he lived. He found joy in soccer, especially in Club América and Mexico, and those who shared that passion with him knew how fully he embraced the excitement, pride, and energy of the game. These interests were part of the rhythm of his life, and they reflected a man who remained curious, engaged, and full of spirit.

Manuel was generous, selfless, and courageous. These words do not simply describe him. They define the way he moved through the world. He gave of himself without hesitation, cared for others without keeping score, and faced difficulties with a bravery that came from deep within. He was the kind of man whose presence could steady a room, whose words could encourage the weary, and whose example reminded others to keep going even when the road became difficult. He lived with a heart that was open and a soul that was strong.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marbella Sarabia De Gordillo, and his children, Abi, Alejandro, Karina, Andrew, and Alberto. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Adrian, Jessica, Lil ’t, Elias, Aubrey, Natalie, Emme, Leo, Kai, Joelito, Eli, Dominic, Axel, Mateo, and Amaya, who brought joy and light to his life. He is remembered with love by his siblings, Rocío, Esther, Blanca, Arturo, Sonia, Alma Rosa, and Edith. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Anastacio Gordillo Amezcua and Maria del Refugio Infante Vasquez, as well as his sister Elsa.

Manuel’s life was a testimony to faith, family, and resilience. He did not need to seek greatness, because greatness was already present in the way he loved, worked, believed, and endured. He leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured only in years, but in the lives he touched and the example he set. He showed that a man can be humble and powerful at the same time, gentle and strong at the same time, and rooted in faith while still reaching with hope.

Though he has left this earth, the impact of Manuel “El Gallo” remains. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew his laughter, felt his strength, and witnessed his devotion. Vivió una vida marcada por la fortaleza, la fe y el propósito. Manuel fue un hombre cristiano cuyo corazón se cimentaba en la esperanza y cuyo espíritu estaba forjado por la perseverancia. Se conducía con dignidad y afrontaba los desafíos de la vida con una determinación firme que inspiraba a quienes le rodeaban. Era el tipo de hombre que no se limitaba a soportar las adversidades, sino que las superaba con valentía. Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Marbella Sarabia De Gordillo, y sus hijos: Abi, Alejandro, Karina, Andrew y Alberto. También deja a sus nietos —Adrian, Jessica, Lil’t, Elias, Aubrey, Natalie, Emme, Leo, Kai, Joelito, Eli, Dominic, Axel, Mateo y Amaya—, quienes llenaron su vida de alegría y luz. Sus hermanos —Rocío, Esther, Blanca, Arturo, Sonia, Alma Rosa y Edith— le recuerdan con cariño. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Anastacio Gordillo Amezcua y María del Refugio Infante Vásquez, así como su hermana Elsa.
