Judith May Field of Denver, Brighton, and Commerce City, Colorado passed away July 3, 2021.
Judy was born in Missouri and came to Colorado as a child with her parents John and Bessie Pitts. Judy enjoyed Colorado camping and fishing and up until her death spoke of wanting to cast a line in some of her most memorable places like Estes Park, Hahn’s Peak, and Redstone. Photographs of Judy experiencing Colorado were some of her most important treasures.
Judy spent her life being the Momma she dreamed of being. She was humorous, could play champion level spoons and created amazing meals for family and friends. Spending time with family was the most important part of Judy’s life and her children will miss goulash, pineapple upside down cake, chocolate meringue pie, “donkey” and macaroni and cheese. All of her children remember telephone calls where Judy’s humor softened a difficult time. Judy appreciated humble and honest things in life.
Judy was proud of her efforts supporting youth in troubled situations and further demonstrated her motherly compassion.
Judy is survived by her children, Shannon (Colleen) Gregg, Tammy (Valerie) Gregg, Jason (Britany) from her first marriage to Kenneth Gregg, Colton (Amanda) Field and Steven (Krystle) Field from her second marriage to Michael Field and 10 grandchildren. Other survivors include Friends and extended family.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, brother Steve Pitts and her son Ricky Gregg
