Judy Elaine Reynolds
Judy was born in Kanorado, KS to Joseph and Hannah Reynolds. She was the youngest of 2 daughters for Joe and Hannah. Judy moved to Colorado with her sister and parents when she was 4yrs old.
She lived in Denver at first and then moving to other areas of Colorado- Brighton, Boulder, Fort Morgan and then back to Denver living there for many years with both of her parents. In 2000 she and her mother Hannah moved back to Brighton where she lived out her life.
Judy was a constant companion with her mother and if you saw one you saw the other. They enjoyed going to the Brighton Rec center and doing water aerobics for years.
She enjoyed a meal out with her mom and attending church at Brighton Methodist. Her home was her place of comfort, and her cat Babycakes was her life and joy.
If you ever spoke to Judy, you probably heard about her beloved cat and all the joy he brought to her life.
After her mother Hannah passed away, she was alone for a while, but then was cared for at home by many loving care givers and her cousin Holly. Her longest-term care giver Jenna and Judy had a wonderful bond like no other. Jenna understood her like many did not. Judy loved to watch TV and dance to music playing on her radio while cleaning house and being silly. She and Jenna would play games, act crazy and cook together for many years. Her faith remained strong even through COVID while she could not attend church. She dearly missed those outings and other things that had to change with COVID being part of our lives.
Judy passed away at her home, where she wanted to remain after a sudden and unexpected decline in health the last months of her life. She was ready to be at peace again and with her family. Judy would be happy to know Babycakes has found a loving home with a caregiver's family. Stacy and Nicole will take great care of her as much as Judy would have continued had she been able.
Judy was proceeded in death by her father Joseph Reynold in Nov 1985, her mother Hannah Reynolds in March 2016, her brother-in-laws Kenny Mendenhall and Frank Walczak and then her sister Joann Walczak in 2020.
Judy is survived by many cousins and other loving family, friends and neighbors that will miss her dearly.
