Judy Smith Obituary

This is the story of Judy L. Smith 63 of Brighton, Colorado; Born May 11, 1955 and departed to be with the Lord on February 2, 2019 at peace in her home. Judy was born in Fairfield, California, the oldest sister of three sisters and four brothers. Judy has a son, Sirio and a daughter, Sierra who she raised as a single mother. Judy calls to mind a blessing and a friend; she loves unconditionally, by our side through thick and thin. Judy was a strong, beautiful, dedicated and spiritually Christian faithful woman. Judy loved Christmas and her holiday decorations, year after year were unique and amazing. Judy enjoyed fishing and she was an outstanding cook readily sharing her culinary creations with friends and family. As a sister, she did not need words to communicate; she had perfected her own secret language of smiles, sniffs, sighs, gasps, winks and eye rolls. A sister is someone who loves you from the heart, No matter how much you argue you cannot be drawn apart. She is a joy that cannot be taken away, Once she enters your life, she is there to stay. Judy confidently quoted, “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” (2 Cor. 5:8) Judy, our sister, mother, wife, and friend…we will see you on the other side.

Judy is survived by her husband Victor Smith, her son Sirio D. Martinez (Courtney), Cole Brandon Smith and daughter Sierra D. (Dane) Pulmano. Along with four grandchildren, Drew, Sid, Lilliana Martinez and Ella Hall, her brothers; Dean (Judith), Michael (Josie), Randy and her sister Janice Martinez. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents Sirio T and Mary (Chavez) Martinez, sister Sandra Martinez-Ibarra, and brother Albert J, Martinez.

It was Judy’s wishes to have a private service for her family. She will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
