Katherine R. Burke

Katherine R. Burke, 60, passed away July 9, 2018, in Brighton, Colorado. Kathy was born in California on June 12, 1958, to LeRoy and Shirley (Long) Schissler.

Kathy had been a resident of Brighton since 1967, having attended Brighton schools and graduating from Brighton High School in 1976. Kathy married Dan Burke in December of 1975, in Brighton, Colorado. To the marriage were born two children; Ryan and Lindsey. Kathy worked for Adams County Government, as a Telecommunications Specialist for over 20 years.

Kathy was especially proud and supportive of her son’s motorcycle road racing and her daughter Lindsey was her best friend. She was very fond of her dogs; Doohan and Nikki.

Family and friends were everything to Kathy while her granddaughter; Calli was the light of her life.

Preceded in death by brother, Gary Schissler and both parents. Survived by, husband, Dan of Brighton, Colorado; son Ryan (Fiance Jenny) of Keenesburg; daughter, Lindsey (Rob) Walters of Brighton, Colorado; granddaughter Calli; sister, Jackie (Dan) Gleim of Brighton, Colorado; brother Glen (Linda) Schissler of Firestone, Colorado; stepsister, Vickie Cereto of Fort Lupton, Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton, Colorado.
