Kenzo “Ken” Horiuchi

Ken was born in Brighton, Colorado to Bungo Horiuchi and Shigeko Gonmori. He was the fifth of nine siblings.

Ken attended school in Brighton, graduating from Brighton High School in 1950. He spent most of his life farming and operating the family greenhouse business with his brothers. He retired in 2010. Ken enjoyed traveling, fishing, golfing, and mushroom hunting.

Ken is survived by his wife, Aiko (Shirley); sons, Gary (Shirley), Kirk, and Rich (Cathy); seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; brother, Eigoro (Kumi); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Seiji, Shogo, Takenobu, and Hideharu; and sisters, Mitsu, Hisa, and Yayeko.
