Arlene passed away peacefully in Thorton, Colorado with her daughter, Shannon, and son in law, Kelly, by her side.

Arlene was born to Ralph Gilbert and Frieda “June” Kirby in Milton, West Virgina, where she spent most of her younger years. Later, Arlene moved to Texas and began working in a cardiology practice. She loved working with patients and teaching them about heart rhythms. Arlene moved to Colorado to be close to family and worked for several years at a local hospital doing Telemetry. After retiring, Arlene enjoyed spending time with family and going on adventures with them.

Arlene loved her dogs Junebug and Frieda which she named after her mom. She loved to go camping and going on cruises with her family. She loved disco, country music and line dancing. Her favorite holiday was Halloween and always had the perfect costume and loved helping her daughter in law, Wendy, decorate for Halloween. Arlene was a loving and fun mom and grandparent who loved to be around her grand and great grandchildren whenever she could.

Arlene is survived by her son, Jeff, (Wendy), daughter, Shannon, (Kelly), along with her grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie), Joseph (Danielle), Jacob (Kyla), Brittany (Levi), Ashley (Abel), Avery (Luis), Anthony, and four great grandchildren Bryson, Landon, Kryss, and Jayce.

She is preceded in death by both her parents; two sisters, Judith and Rosalie; six brothers, Roy Dale, Ralph Gilbert, Jr. (Pete), Ricky Lynn, Ronald Keith (Ronnie), James “Dexter”, and Harold Dean (Dee Dee).

"Heavenly Father, we come before you with heavy hearts as we mourn the loss of our beloved mother. We thank you for her life, her love, and her unwavering support. We are grateful for the memories we shared and the lessons she taught us. May she rest in peace and be welcomed into your loving arms. We ask for your comfort and guidance as we navigate this new chapter in our lives. Help us to find strength in your love and to honor her memory through our actions. We offer these prayers in your name, Amen.”

We will miss you and know that you will be watching over us.

Love you, Mama.
