Larry Reno Obituary

Larry George Reno, age 75, passed away on December 20, 2020 in Longmont, Colorado. He was born on January 18, 1945 in Denver, Colorado to Simon Wiltfang and Ilda Marie Roberts. During his childhood, Larry attended schools in the Denver area, ultimately graduating from Englewood High School in 1963. Later in life, on April 4, 1985, he married Cynthia Reno (Whitehead) in Aurora, Colorado and they have been happily married for over 35 years.

After high school, Larry had opted to serve his country proudly by enlisting in the US Army. He served the army in the Vietnam War from 1966-1975. When Larry came home from Vietnam, he worked at the Mile High Cable Company for over 20 years, then later switching professions to something a little more laid back, carpentry. Larry was a kind, loving man who was very personable with everyone he met. He was always thinking of ways to help others, showing the kind of caring person he was. Larry always had a great sense of humor and always knew his way around a good joke or two. He was very generous and giving. Larry used his carpentry skills to make toys with his bare hands for underprivileged children around the state. Larry loved all of his family, his children, and his wife very much and will be missed tremendously by them all.

Larry is survived by his spouse, Cynthia Reno (Whitehead) of Fort Lupton, Colorado, along with his three children: Larry Michael (Anjanette) Burton, of Waxahachie, Texas, Carrie Shannon (Daniel) Morrison, of Los Alamos, New Mexico, Adam Joseph (Erica) Burton, of Phoenix City, Alabama. He is also survived by 3 half-sisters, 9 grandsons, and one great-grand daughter. Larry is preceded in death by both parents as well as one half-brother and his step-son, Eric Tisdell.
