Laura Jean Rael, 55, passed away from complications from an aneurism and several strokes at the Medical Center of Aurora surrounded by her family.
Laura was born to Jose Victor Rael and Mary Magdalena Cordova on January 4, 1967, joining her sisters LeeAnn Rael and Dana Rael-Padilla. Laura attended Narbonne High School and Van Nuys High School in California, and Brighton High School. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute in Colorado for Medical Billing.
Laura will be so deeply missed! She had very strong and special bonds with so many close to her. But she is now at peace and like she said, “Now I get to hold my baby again.” She fought hard for the last 4 years, and God saw that she was tired, so he called her home.
Laura is preceded in death by the love of her life, Joseph Anthony Banzali Jr., their daughter Raquel Antoinette, her father Jose Victor Rael, niece Angelina Magdalena Montoya, great nephew Bashton Buchanan, her grandparents and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her daughters Gabriella Rael and Samantha Rael, her mother Magdalena Cruz (Jesse), sisters LeeAnn Rael and Dana Rael-Padilla (Jesse), nieces Stephanie, Marissa, Tasha, Megan, Kayla, Amber, and Lailoni, nephews Gabriel and Raymond, several God children, numerous cousins, Aunts and Uncles.
Laura found great pleasure in being the cool Aunt wanting to spend as much time as possible with her nieces and nephews. She would go roller blading with them, even though she never caught on to the stopping part. She also loved taking them to the movies and going camping with them. Laura also enjoyed going to car shows, concerts, taking long drives and clubbing with her sisters, cousins, and friends.
We would like to thank all who have been there for Laura and who came out today to celebrate her life. We would also like to thank our special Auntie Theresa and favorite cousin Estella for always going and spending the day with us and Laura. Another special thank you to Uncle Levi, Aunt Mable, Uncle Paul, and Aunt Maria who came to visit when Laura asked for them.
