It is with heavy hearts, we regret to announce LeRoy Joseph Dinges, 76, of Brighton, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at home with family by his side.

LeRoy was born July 27, 1948, in Brighton, Colorado to Ralph and Lydia Dinges. This is where LeRoy was born and raised before graduating from Brighton High School and joining the military.

LeRoy served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Independence as an aviation ordnance man before becoming a union lineman with Xcel Energy for 36 years.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, LeRoy was a devoted family man, who loved his wife Karon above all else. He was a beloved husband and devoted father to his children Morris, Tricia and Desiree. His willingness to help anyone with personal projects made him a cherished and loyal friend to many.

In his free time, Leroy enjoyed camping and flyfishing for monster trout at Spinney Mountain Reservoir and the Frying pan River. He also loved cheering on the Broncos and Avalanche when they were winning. On weekends you could find LeRoy at an auction or scouring the flea market aisles searching for a bargain to flip.

LeRoy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karon Kaye Dinges, three children Morris Dinges and his wife Michelle, Tricia Chapman and her husband Michael, Desiree Berlin and her husband Christopher, six grandchildren including Cody, Donavin, Jayden, Malik, Devin and Alaina, and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Rhonda Michael, Rodney Dinges, Roger Dinges and Randy Dinges, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

No funeral service will be held. 

LeRoy will be dearly missed by his family and all he came in contact with.
