Lena L. Hoffman

Lena L. Hoffman, 91, of Greeley, passed away January 12, 2017 in Ft. Lupton. She was born January 25, 1925 in Nebraska to Vern and Lena (Ooton) Bisbee. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1943 and later married Godfrey Hoffman on May 18, 1944 in Littleton, CO.

Lena was a resident of the Brighton-Ft. Lupton area and member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the KC Ettes for the majority of her life. She worked as a seamstress for American Linen in Denver for 25 years. Lena was a loving mother of seven children and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and her dog, Sammy.

Lena is survived by her children, John (June) Hoffman of Commerce City, Kenneth Hoffman of Greeley, Larry (Jo Ellen) Hoffman of Ft. Lupton, Carol (Ernesto) Valdez of Brighton and Debora (Robert) Bonacquisti of Liberty Hill, TX; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Godfrey in 2000; son, Paul in 1975; daughter, Sharon in 2013; two brothers, Otis and Verle and two granddaughters, Truly Ann and Benita.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 5:00pm followed by the Rosary Service at 7:00pm at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
