Leona L. Brown, 80, of Brighton, Colorado passed away on October 29, 2007 in Aurora, Colorado. She was born on August 29, 1927 to Fred and Lydia (Wollert) Batz in Brighton, Colorado. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1945 and was then married to Edward Brown on February 8, 1948 in Brighton, Colorado.
Leona worked for the Adams County Clerk and Recorder's Office for 15 years. She worked for the State of Colorado in the Adams County Court House for 17 years. She was also a member of the Zion Congregational Church.
Leona enjoyed traveling, crocheting and reading.
Leona is survived by her husband Edward, daughters Cindy (Ed) Freeman, Tammy (Kurt) Peister; grandchildren Jackie, Jason (Lena), Audra and Kayly. Leona is also survived by sisters Helen Pragman, Ella Burbank and Florence Leifheit; and brothers Harold Schneider and Sonny Schneider.
Leona is preceded in death by both parents Fred and Lydia Batz.
Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, November 2, 2007 at 10am at the Zion Congregational Church. Services will then conclude at Elmwood Cemetery.
