Lidia “Bertha” Martinez went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 9th, 2026.

Bertha was born on August 18, 1939 in Llano, New Mexico to Herculano and Abelina Muniz. She is the youngest of six children. Bertha moved with her family to Brighton where she met and married Alex Martinez. They had three children Alex, Anthony, and Alberta.

Bertha worked in retail most of her life; Bonnie’s Boots and retired from Payless Shoes as well as managing apartment building. Bertha enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, dancing and going to the casinos. Even starring in a commercial for The Lodge Casino. She also loved her Lord Jesus Christ.

Bertha is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Priscilla Sanchez, Placida Rodarte, Bernie Arguello and her brother Jose Muniz.

She is survived by her sons; Alex (Diane) Martinez, Anthony Martinez and her daughter Alberta (Larry) Moreno. Her grandchildren Lorenzo Moreno, Angelo Martinez, Leon Moreno, Eric Martinez and her great grandchildren; Isaac Martinez, Noah Martinez, Illyana Moreno. And her love Michael Rodarte. Brothers Antonio (Rose) Muniz and Orlando Muniz.

Bertha was very much loved and will be missed dearly.
