Lorene Doris Lamb, lovingly known as Doris, of Brighton, Colorado, was called home to Heaven on July 30, 2026, at the age of 94.
Doris was born on December 30, 1931, in Fleming, Colorado, to Gertrude and Clem Berg.
She later met and married her husband, Frank Buckner. Together, they raised their four children, John (Jack), Elaine, Lisa, and Danny, in the Englewood, Colorado, area.
In 1972, Doris married George A. Lamb, and the family relocated to Brighton, Colorado. Later in life, Doris attended the University of Northern Colorado, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She went on to work with and mentor young women, positively influencing many lives through her kindness and guidance. Doris and George shared a love of travel and enjoyed their memorable trips to Japan and Hawaii.
Doris enjoyed reading, listening to music, cooking, crocheting, and needlepoint. When she was not pursuing one of her many interests, she could often be found entertaining her friends and family.
Above all, Doris cherished her family. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Christmas held a special place in her heart, and she always made sure the entire family gathered together every Christmas Eve. Doris especially delighted in choosing and buying gifts for everyone she loved.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Clem Berg; her husbands, Frank Buckner and George A. Lamb; her son, John (Jack) Buckner; and her grandson, John Buckner.
She is survived by her children, Elaine, Lisa, and Danny, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Doris will be remembered for her generous heart, her devotion to her family, and the many treasured memories she created with those who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, or in addition to flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Boys & Girls Club or to a charity of your choice in Doris’s honor.
