Lynn Marie Peterson

Lynn Marie Peterson was born on June 1, 1966, in Des Plaines, Illinois to David and LaDonna McCleish. Lynn came into this world with her big sister, Deb, by her side. Shortly after Lynn was born, their family moved to Seattle to follow their father’s career where she became a big sister to her new brother Doug in 1970. Dave’s career then moved the McCleish family to Colorado in 1976 where they resided in Northglenn, Colorado.

Lynn graduated from Northglenn High School in 1984 with her best friend Angela. She then started working for her father at Fraser Trucking and attended college at Metro State. That experience prepared Lynn and her brother Doug to be co-owners of Fraser Trucking. Lynn became President of the company, working as part of the business’ success with her brother until the time of her death.

Lynn met the love of her life Tom in 1989, they were happily married on June 8, 1991. They bought their first home in Henderson, Colorado and started their family having their first son, Trevor in August of 1994 and their second son Tanner, in September of 1996. They moved to their current home in Thornton, Colorado in 2006. They celebrated 30 years of marriage in 2021 and Lynn was very proud of her husband and her two sons, often referring to them as “My three T’s”: Tom, Trevor, and Tanner. The Peterson family also had endless love for their many dogs throughout the years. 

Lynn was the light and always had a nice thing to say about everyone; always smiling with the most positive outlook on life. She prioritized everyone’s happiness and gave a hug that could melt your problems away. As Tom and her family and friends would say, Lynn was the glue, and was a monumental gift in everyone’s life. Lynn Marie Peterson will be remembered for her kindness, joy and zest for life, and for her loving and encouraging heart. 

Lynn is survived by her husband Tom Peterson of Thornton, CO; two sons, Trevor Peterson (Kate Forman) of Windsor, CO and Tanner Peterson (Shea Amick) of Westminster, CO; parents, David and LaDonna McCleish of Brighton, CO; mother-in-law, Charlotte Ann Craig of Denver, CO; two siblings, Deb (Aaron) Bergman of Thornton, CO and Doug (Amy) McCleish of Elizabeth, CO; four nieces and nephews, Sharayah (Kendall) Murphy of Frederick, CO, Myranda Bergman of Thornton, CO, Douglas John McCleish and Delaney McCleish of Elizabeth, CO; and one great-niece, Evelynn Murphy of Frederick, CO along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Lynn is preceded in death by grandparents, Glenn and Martha McCleish and Leo and Emelia Frideres; father-in-law, Robert Scott Craig; aunts and uncles, Denny (Meredith) McCleish and Duane (Kay) McCleish; and cousin, Kurt Frideres.
