Macario “Mac” Jaso Obituary

Macario “Mac” Jaso, 71, passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2021, at North Suburban Medical Center, after a tragic accident.

Mac was born March 25, 1950 in Fort Lupton, Colorado to Mike and Mary (Martinez) Jaso.  He attended schools in Fort Lupton and graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1970.  Later the same year he married Roxie Rhoades.  They had a son Michael Jaso.  In 1978 he married Juanita Quintana and from this marriage his daughter Adriana Jo Jaso was born.

After high school, Mac worked for Safeway as a meat cutter for 32 years. He started as a meat cutter and retired as the manager of the meat market. After retirement he decided he needed to keep busy.  In 2013, he went to work for the city of Commerce City with the Parks Operations mow crew keeping the parks and facilities clean.  He was working for the city of Commerce City at the time of his passing. 

Mac never knew a stranger and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was willing to try anything from bungee jumping with his niece, to riding a hot air balloon early in a morning. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching football, baseball, or any kind of sport. He loved dancing and competing in ballroom dancing.  Mostly he loved his family and the time he spent with them.

Mac is survived by his mother, Mary Jaso; his son Michael (Lori) Jaso; his daughter Adriana Jo Jaso; five grandchildren; his sisters Rose (Phil) Stadler; Connie (Joey) Hogelin. He was the favorite uncle to his niece Amy Stadler; nephew Jon (Carey) Stadler; and great-niece and nephews as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Jaso; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  

The family has requested private services honoring Mac.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials honoring Mac be made to any breast cancer or multiple sclerosis (MS) organization or the charity of your choice in his name.
