Machle Marie Martin

Machle Marie Martin, 75, was born in Stockton, KS on October 26, 1947 to George Franklin Turnbull, Jr. and Muriel Grover Turnbull. She passed from this life at her son’s home East ofBrighton, CO on October 15, 2023.

Machle was married to Robert Martin February 13, 1971 in the home of William (Irene) Clark of Adams County, CO; they later divorced. To this union were born two sons, Michael Charles and Ronald James.

Machle was a life-long care-giver beginning at an early age caring for her siblings and helping at home. She is well remembered for her patience with the many kids at the drug store penny candy counter. Later, she enjoyed her time as a care-giver in assisted living centers. She was a devoted mother to her sons and loved traveling with her family and friends.

She leaves to mourn her passing her son, Michael Martin; sister, Marcia (Rod) Giess of Arnold, KS; brother, Thomas (Barbara) Turnbull of Independence, OR; nephews, Shawn (Sonya) Giess of Hays, KS and Chris (Melissa) Dreher of Olathe, KS; one great niece and four great nephews, as well as her extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald; son-in-law, Stephen Mitchell; and brother, Scott Turnbull.

Private graveside services will be held on October 26, 2023 at Hillside Cemetery, Ft. Lupton, CO.
