Manuel S. Tovar Jr. was born in Denver, Colorado, to Mary Ann Jaramillo and Manuel S. Tovar Sr. on August 16, 1973.

Gordo is survived by his son, Angel Nunez; his father, Manuel Tovar Sr.; and his siblings: Cathy and Rafael of Fort Lupton, CO; Theresa and Felipe of Dacono, CO; Nicki and Joaquin of Brighton, CO; Gerardo and Clara of New Mexico; and Omaro and Breanna of Fort Collins, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Reyes.

Gordo, a man of many talents and a storyteller at heart, will be remembered for his unforgettable humor, his countless adventures, and the deep love he shared with everyone around him. His presence brought joy, laughter, and warmth to all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
