Marc was born in Denver, Colorado to James and Helen Sirios on November 5, 1954. He was the second of two children to James and Helen. Growing up, when Marc wasn't on the farm he excelled in both school and sports. As the son of a teacher and a farmer, Marc was raised on good values which would guide him throughout his life.
He married Sheri Conway, in Des Moines, Iowa, on January 10, 1981. They were married for 40 years and share three sons together. His family was his biggest joy and greatest accomplishment. Marc was a person who happily sacrificed all that he had for that of his family. Every step of the way, Marc was there to offer a shoulder to cry on, a loving hand of support, and most of all words of encouragement and praise.
Marc spent his life in Keenesburg, Colorado working hard and proud as a farmer for the family business, JMH Sirios Farms. His love for farming was ever-present in all his conversations.
Later he worked for the towns of both Keenesburg and Hudson. Marc loved working for and improving his community.
Marc spent countless hours on basketball courts, baseball diamonds and football fields. Nothing gave him more pleasure than coaching his sons and their friends. From the "Sirios Sluggers" to the "Weld Central Jammers", you could find (or hear) Marc hollering strategy and encouragement from the sidelines. He transitioned from coach to fan as his boys grew older, but always remained a coach at heart.
Marc was fanatical about the Denver Broncos. He was a coveted season ticket holder for most of his life. He attended Super Bowls in New Orleans, Pasadena, Miami and San Diego. Many ended in heartbreak, but one of his happiest days was when his beloved Broncos captured their first Super Bowl victory against the Green Bay Packers at the conclusion of the 1998 season. He passed this passion on to his three sons.
Marc is survived by his wife, Sheri Sirios; along with their three sons, Nikolas (Angela), Matthew (Justine) and Joshua (Emily); and his two grandchildren Michael and Lucas. Also his mother, Helen Sirios, and his sister Marcia Wolff (Phil) and his niece Brooke and her children Hunter and Parker, and other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, James Sirios.
Go Broncos!
