Marcella "Marcie" Martinez

Marcella (“Marcie”) Martinez died Monday, April 17, 2023, in her residing town of Las Vegas, Nevada, after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. 
Marcie was born Marcella Lorencita Salazar in 1943 in Cerro, New Mexico, to parents Veronice (“Betty”) and Daniel Salazar.  She lived most of her life in the city and suburbs of Denver, Colorado where she married Celestino (“Tino”) Martinez in 1962 and raised their four children. 
After a successful career in management at Lucent Technologies (now known as Avaya), Marcie retired and moved to Las Vegas, NV with her husband Tino. In addition to her career, Marcie poured her heart into her family and volunteering in her community. This commitment continued throughout her retirement years. 
Marcella is survived by her three children, Bernice Martinez (husband Robert), Linda Skrocki 
(husband Michael), and Nicholas Martinez (wife Cherie). Her son, Michael died in 2003. She has eight grandchildren, Robert (“Bobby), Abigail, Chelsea, Celestino, Alexi, Carson, Nikki, and Chance and four great grandchildren, Annabella, Robbie, William, and Charlotte. Her husband, Tino, died in 2014.
