Margarete passed away on September 13, 2020 at her home. She was born on June 14, 1934 in Idar-Oberstein, Germany to Wilhehm Hupperich and Helen (Herzog).
On June 17, 1951, Margarete married Joseph E. Medina and they moved to Denver, CO in 1952 and started their family. In 1961, they built a home in Northglenn where the set roots and raised their family of eight children. Margarete briefly worked for StorageTek in Louisville. She loved to cook and adapted to cooking Mexican food and became an expert in time. She learned the English language by watching Soap Operas and John Wayne movies. Along with her husband, she love to dance to both Polka and Mariachi music.
Margarete took great pride and joy in being a homemaker making sure her husband who had to travel to Colorado Springs for work at the Air Force Academy . She would have his uniform pressed and ready along with breakfast and a lunch packed and a warm meal for him when he returned from work. Margarete and Joseph were members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Northglenn.
Margarete is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1991; and one daughter, Barbara Hajdu. Survivors include daughters: Terry and her husband Ted Bickler of CA, Elizabeth Medina of AZ, Darlene Medina of Denver, Patricia Anderson of AZ, Mary Ann and her husband Dennis Neiman of Denver, and the youngest, Sandra Medina of Westminster; a son, Dean and his wife Lisa of Northglenn; and two brothers, both of Germany, Heinz and Carlotto Hupperich.
Visitation, Mass of Christian Burial and Graveside Services due to Covid Restrictions will all be Private.
