Maria De Los Angeles Santillan

Maria De Los Angeles Santillan Maria was born in Sonora, Mexico to Manuela Rascon Grijalva and Manuel De Jesus Franco Grijalva and was the third oldest of eight. She then married the father of her two gorgeous daughters Jose Angel Santillan.

Maria spent the majority of her life living in Brighton, CO working as a CNA at what is now known as Riverdale Post Acute in Brighton, CO. Her love, compassion and, most of all her patience for others is what made her the incredible CNA she once was. She was able to accomplish nearly anything that came her way. Maria was able to obtain her GED to some is a simple accomplishment but for her it was a beginning and a step forward towards what could be her life. She came from a family who had shortcomings but were filled with love and gratitude.

Maria did not only serve as being part of the healthcare community but as well taking part in selling cosmetics from Jafra and kitchenware from Princess House, she was always dedicated to keeping herself occupied whether it was in the workplace or at home she made sure to use her time wisely. However, Maria desires when she was younger were to become a hairstylist but did not pursue that career because she choose to have a suitable income to raise her two daughters with her husband Jose Angel Santillan which is something she couldn't change the world for because having her family next to her was her greatest desire.

She loved her family but ohh man did she love her friends they were her second family. Maria would go to the casinos and vacations with such friends. Even as she became ill one of the things that kept her going was going to the casinos with friends and family. Going to stay over at a friend's house the day before an appointment because that was the type of friendship she had built. She would go on girl trips through this stage in her life because it gave her hope and so much joy to feel better. Even to her last moments she had a room filled with friends and family. In her last moments she had those around her that she loved and cared for giving to her comfort and peace.

Maria is survived by her daughter Salma Santillan; along with her other daughter Elizabeth Santillan Along with Maria's siblings Rafeal Grijalva Rascon, Francisca Olivia Grijalva Rascon, Marisol Grijalva Rascon, Celia Grijalva Rascon and Juan De Dios Grijalva Rascon. She is preceded in death by both her parents: along with her husband Jose Angel Satillan:and two brothers Daniel Grijalva and Fermin Grijalva Rascon.
