Marie K. Sack

Marie Katherine Sack (VonFeldt), 71, of Ft Lupton, Colorado, passed away on April 25, 2016, at her home. She was born on April 11, 1945 in Brighton, Colorado to Appollonia and Lawrence VonFeldt.

Marie is a long time resident of Brighton, Colorado where she graduated from Brighton High School and met her husband George A. Sack. She married George A. Sack on June 29, 1963 in Brighton, Colorado.

After starting their family of four children, they started a dairy business east of Brighton, Colorado. Between the business, her kids and grandkids, she kept very busy.

Marie loved her family and family gatherings! She also looked forward to working out with her friends and taking her daily 1-2 mile walks. Marie always enjoyed keeping her yard beautiful and her house spotless. She also enjoyed going to new places and taking a drive to Lake Dillon to see all the fall colors.

Marie is a loving mother survived by her husband of 52 years, George, sons; David (Shelly) Sack of Brighton, Joseph (Carrie) Sack of Ft Lupton, daughter Regina (Cody Michel) Sack of Ft Lupton; three brothers, Edward (Katherine) VonFeldt of Brighton, Victor (Marty) VonFeldt of Lucerne and Leonard (Sarah) VonFeldt of Platteville; granddaughters; Samantha, Elizebeth, Jennifer, Cadence, grandsons; Dustin (Tiffany), Christopher (Kortney), Tony (Melissa), Toby, Kenneth, great-granddaughters; Kayle, Bailey, Kendall, Carmen and Shelby. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews and extended family members who were all very important to her.

Marie was preceded in death by her daughter; Jacqueline, both parents and her brother Albert VonFeldt.

Marie was known as a strong willed person who told it like it was, but had the biggest heart. She was always caring and devoted to her family and friends. Marie was known for her honesty and her need to put all above herself.

Visitation is scheduled for 5:00pm, Sunday May 1, 2016, at Tabor Rice Funeral Home, 75 South 13th Avenue, Brighton. Rosary to follow at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, Monday May 2, at St Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton, Colorado. Graveside services to follow at Elmwood Cemetery following the mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church in her memory.
