Marilyn Kay McWIlliams

Marilyn Kay McWilliams, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2020, in Brighton, Colorado. She was born on July 13, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to John Woodrow and Bette Mae (Donofrio) McWilliams. She was a lifetime resident of the Brighton area and attended and graduated from Brighton High School during her up bringing. Upon graduating from high school, Marilyn attended cosmetology school for a two-year program, which she excelled in and loved greatly.

For work, Marilyn utilized her professional certification and worked as a cosmetologist and hair dresser, a job she did for over 35 years. For hobbies outside of work, Marilyn also loved to read, paint and crochet. She loved reading so much, in fact she was known to have read over a thousand books, for she always was seen with a book in her hand. When she wasn’t reading, Marilyn also enjoyed watching her beloved western movies, wrestling, and professional bull-riding on TV. She was a kind, hard-working woman, who will be deeply missed by all of those whom had the opportunity of knowing her.

Marilyn is survived by numerous cousins, for her immediate family had all passed away. She is preceded in passing by both of her parents, John Woodrow and Bette Mae (Donofrio) McWilliams.    

Per Marilyn’s request, there will be no scheduled services held in her honor, she will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
