Marvin Lee Staben, 80, of Keenesburg, Colorado, passed away on February 23, 2026.
Born on October 28, 1945, in Nashville, Nebraska, Marvin lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. A proud United States Air Force veteran, Marvin served his country with honor and carried that same spirit of service into every aspect of his life.”
He was known to many simply as “Marv”—a testament to the deep affection and respect he inspired in all who knew him. Marv had a heart of gold and was always just a phone call away, ready to lend a hand or a listening ear, loved to reminisce and share with all. Many will forever remember “See ya after the Rodeo.”
He is survived by his loving wife Sharen Staben, daughter Julie Ross (Robert) and their children (Brody & Alexandria), stepson Bruce Schnaak(Leticia) and their children. (Muriah & Arturo) and great grandchildren (Jayden & Avayah) and his older brother Gene Staben (Ann), as well as a host of loving friends and relatives. Marvin was predeceased by his loving parents, Clifford Herbert Staben and Rose Elizabeth Christensen
Service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday March 10th, 2026, and a Celebration of Life following in Keenesburg, Colorado.
Marv will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love he gave so freely and the light he brought to the lives around him.
