Mary D. Romero was received unto heaven on the morning of August 2, 2022. She was born to Lucas V. Sepulveda and Agripina Hernandez on a farm in Erie, Colorado. She married Manuel V. Romero, the love of her life, on May 13, 1995.
Mary graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1964. She was worked various jobs in her life which included Kuners, Kitayama Brothers Greenhouse, Storage Tech, and nursing homes in the Brighton area before becoming a full time housewife.
Mary was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She lived all her life in the Erie, Fort Lupton and Brighton area, a small town girl at heart. Mary's joy of baking and cooking, especially her Christmas cookies and pastries were well known and appreciated within the family. She enjoyed sewing for herself and her nieces as children. Mary had a vast collection of elephants from many parts of the world. Mary also took a lot of pride in having Native American blood. But most of all, Mary was best known for her unconditional love of family, both the Sepulveda and Romero sides. Although she was not able to have children, she helped with babysitting and raising many of her nephews, nieces, and grandnieces which allowed her to express her great love for all children. Mary was a obedient and devoted daughter to her parents and helped her them through many trying times. She would travel with Manuel yearly to visit her Romero family in Juarez and always had a good time and came home with a new haircut. Although she yearned to travel the world, but Mary was basically a homebody. She enjoyed taking care of her husband, Manuel, and loved him very much as her last thoughts were of him and his welfare.
Mary is survived by her husband, Manuel V. Romero of Brighton, Colorado, her brothers Ralph M. Sepulveda of Brighton, Colorado, John C. Sepulveda of Fort Lupton, Colorado, her sisters Carmel A. (Kinya) Miyagi of Hentona, Okinawa, Japan, Jessica H. Sepulveda of Brighton, Colorado, along with many nephews and nieces.
