Mary Padilla Obituary

Mary Ann Padilla 90, Loving mother and grandmother received her heavenly crown on October 4, 2024, in Brighton, Colorado.

Mary Ann was born on June 14th, 1934, to Eloy and Nicka Nora (Gonzales) Muniz in Llano Largo, New Mexico. She attended schools in New Mexico. The Muniz family relocated to Colorado when she was a young girl to work in the fields.

As a young woman, Mary Ann worked in a Restaurant in Brighton. It was called The Home Cafe. She met the love of her life Abran Padilla in Brighton, and they were married April19th, 1958. Soon after they began their family with the birth of their first-born daughter, Diana.

Mary Ann was a full-time loving mother and homemaker her whole life. Together with her husband she raised 3 children. She provided daycare for children in her home to supplement her husband's income. Mary Ann Also cleaned homes for several residents in the Brighton area. 

Mary Ann was a lifelong member of Fearless Church. This ministry was started by her uncle Herculano Muniz in the 1950's under the name, Sendero De La Cruz. Mary Ann as a young mother served as church secretary and Sunday school teacher. Mary Ann was very faithful as she got older and became an elder in the church with her husband.

Mary Ann leaves a strong spiritual legacy to her family. She was a woman of faith who prayed continually for her loved ones. She always believed the best for her children and grandchildren. Mary Ann lived long enough to meet her great, great grandchildren. Her legacy of love and care will live on through them.

Her husband, Abran passed away on January 14th, 2024, just a short 9 months ago. They shared 65 years of marriage. It was difficult for her. The love of her family helped sustain her until she went to her heavenly home and was reunited with him.

Mary Ann is survived by her 3 children Diana Maes (Jimmy), Donald Padilla (Anita) and Sharon Cota (John), 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her, husband Abran, Son-in-law, Jimmy Maes, 2 grandson's, Christopher Maes and Angelo Gonzales, 2 great granddaughters, Danielle Maes and Xsasia La Ray Maes.
