Mary Jane Morris Talbot 86 of Brighton, Colorado went to heaven on Sunday, July 17, 2022. She was met by her late husband Don Talbot, her parents, siblings and many other loved ones. Janie considered anyone she met a loved one. She was also met by her numerous and various animals who she loved throughout her wonderful life.
Janie was born in Kansas City, Kansas on January 3, 1936 to Roy Morris and Patricia Overlin Morris. She was the third child of four of this union.
Janie’s family moved to Colorado while she was a young child. She lived in Denver at first. Later the family moved to a farm west of Brighton, Colorado. Janie’s mother passed away while she was young. Her paternal grandmother helped to raise her siblings and her. Her father passed away when she was a young adult.
She met her late husband Don on a blind date. They had many loving years together. They enjoyed camping, hunting, shooting sports, traveling, fishing and their many beloved animals.
She loved teaching people of all ages. Whether she taught preschool, elementary school or senior citizen painting classes at Eagle View Adult Center, she gave her all to educating her students. She considered everyone her loved student for all times.
She was very active in St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church here in Brighton. She attended the church for many years. She served on committees and planned events for the church. She loved helping out.
Janie’s also served on the advisory board for the Eagle View Adult Center. She was honored with a room dedicated to her at the center.
Janie was preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents Roy and Patricia, her sister Betty, Brother Don, her in-laws also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her oldest sibling Bob Morris of New York.
Her son Jeff (Sandy) Talbot of Brighton, CO survive her passing, their children Travis (Bridget) Talbot of Wellington, CO, Amanda (Daniel) Hamilton of Loveland, CO and Clay (Seaira) Talbot have many fond memories of Grammy.
Her daughter Dawn (Dean) Neill of Holly, CO also survive her. Their Children Garrett Neill of Paducah, Kentucky, Kelli (Matt) Kemp of Colorado Springs, CO and Amy Neill of Aurora, CO remember many fun times with Grammy. She had one great grandson, Raylan Kemp of Colorado Springs, CO whom she was able to meet recently.
Memorial Contributions may be made to either St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church or the Eagle View Adult Center both of Brighton.
Janie cared more for everyone she met more than herself.
