MaryAnn Chumley Obituary

Maryann Chumley, age 94 passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2023 under the precious care of Denver Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held on October 28, 2023 at Grace Memorial Church 1370 Holly Street Denver, CO at 2:00p.m. Luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Maryann was born on February 25, 1929, in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, to Harold Irvin Bentley and Mildred Viola (Bish) Bentley, Maryann was the youngest daughter of five children.

Maryann married Charles E. Chumley in March of 1952 in Denver Co., in the home of Charles Mother and Father. They had three children, Daniel G, Diane Patricia and Charles (Chick) Edward Jr.

Maryann had many hobbies and activities. She loved water skiing, snow sledding, bowling, roller skating, softball, badminton and croquet, never a dull moment. The mountains werea place of fun and a place of relaxation, after you finished her work list, the play would begin. She worked hard so she could play hard.

Her hobbies were traveling; she has traveled from Alaska to Mane. From Mexico, climbing the pyramids, to enjoying Florida and what it has to offer. From European countries to Australia, and upon arriving home she would always say, "This is God's Country, and I'm glad I'm home"

Maryann had an infectious, inspiring spirit, it showed in every aspect of her life.

Maryann was a business woman, She owned her own Dry Cleaning Business for 31 years, she was passionate regarding Real Estate, and loved "junkin" with her brother, Clarence and his wife Annetta Bentley. Maryann volunteered at the soup kitchen BAC from 2005 thru 2015. She met 3 very good friends and has stayed in touch with them these many years.

The one outstanding quality about Maryann is her deep Faith in her Lord Jesus Christ! Maryann is a lifelong Christian , thru all her ups and downs her Faith never waveredI Her one true desire is that her friends and her family have a personal relationship with her Jesus. The family knows her pain and separation from her loved ones is over now she is with her Lord and Savior.

Maryann is survived by her Daughter Diane (James) Mildenberger, Daughter-In-law Debra Chumley. Now for the most important people in Maryann's life: Her Grandchildren, Zach (Ke dra), Luke, Gabe, Ryan, Whitney (Dan) Noven, Jacob (Cassie) Mildenberger. Kelsey (Ben) Whitcomb, Jarrod (Lauren)Chumley. Nathaniel, Alex (Kathy), Janine, Ben (Karissa) Chumley.

The little people that made her heart soar, Great Grandchildren: Kayden 14, Aya 13, Paisley 7, Kollyns Jo5 months, Mazie 8, Charles 6, Chuck 5, Olivia 2, Ollie 8, Theo 8, Silas 8, and Aubrey 6.

Maryann is preceded in death by both her parents: three brothers, Virgil Eugene, Cleo Edwin, Clarence Arthur and one sister Dorothy Mae, husband, Charles Edward Sr, and two sons Daniel G. and Charles Edward Jr.
