Trish was raised in Columbus, Ohio with her brothers Richard and Ralph. She graduated Eastmore High School. Trish attended the University of Colorado, Denver.

Trish was very talented and had many hobbies and interests. To name a few: she sang, played guitar and violin, started cross stitch, crochet, Tole painting then quilting. She was talented at all.

Trish is not survived by any known relatives.

Trish is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Richard and Ralph.

Mel and Trish began their beautiful love story together on February 1, 1980 when they married. Mel worked construction while Trish worked in banking as they built their lives and home together in the Denver Metro Area.

In their 20’s and for several decades following, Mel and Trish were involved at Faith Bible Chapel where they married. Their involvement there included leading worship, missions work in Africa, and much more. Their ultimate love however, was the International Singers and Israel Ministry where Mel and Trish Sang, performed and worked. This work took them multiple times to Israel where both of them fell in love with the land and the people of Israel.

During their Mid Life Trish’s career stayed constant, but Mel’s took a new turn. Mel swapped his hammer for a spatula. One of Mel’s hobbies was cooking and experimenting with food, so what better path to go down than Culinary Arts? Right away, Mel began working in commercial kitchens. Quickly Mel became Executive Chef at Huckleberry in Lafayette, Colorado.

Their next life change came because of Trish’s deep love of snow, cold and Christmas. Mel and Trish moved to Steamboat, Colorado. Trish continued in banking for a while, while Mel started his culinary journey at the Sheridan Hotel as a chef in the Events Kitchen. A few years later Mel was hired by Kate Rench, a Jacques Pepin award winning chef.  He was hired as Chef De Cuisine. It was at Café Dive where Mel became a skilled technical chef.

After buying a home in Oak Creek, Colorado they decided to move back to the Front Range. Now here, they pursued a job opportunity together at MSI Consultants LLC.

In the last decade of their lives Mel continued cooking for family, friends, neighbors and the community there they lived in Johnstown, Colorado. Trish continued pursuing her love of sewing by starting a small business “We 2 So Love To Sew” with Connie Herrick. Trish also created award winning quilts.
