Michael Martinez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Martinez. Born in Brighton, raised in Watte and a lifelong resident of Fort Lupton, he passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 76.

Michael was born September 29, 1948, to Temo and Angela Martinez. He loved to hunt, fish and play music. His musical career started at a young age, playing with his parents and siblings in a band called “Los Martinez”. Later in life he played in the band known as “La Maquina”. Michael was loved by many! He loved spending time with his family, friends, taking the little guys to McDonalds, parks and camping, and he always enjoyed being in the outdoors. Michael was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed by many.

Michael is survived by his siblings. By the love of his life, Debbie Garcia. Son’s Michael Augustine Martinez and Miguel (Susie) Martinez. Also, by grandchildren; Marcos (Desiree) Martinez, Ricky (Julia) Martinez, Angelo Martinez, Joseph (Josh) Martinez, David (Monica) Martinez, Andres Martinez, Alfonso Rodriguez, Katrina Martinez, Miguel Martinez, Esperanza Martinez and thirteen grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Temo and Angela Martinez. Daughter, Marie Martinez, Grandson Victor Martinez., and nephew George Fontez.
