Michele Renee Shelton

Michele Shelton passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in her home, in Brighton, CO, on November 17, 2024, at the age of 58. Michele is preceded in death by her mother, Connie Shelton and survived by her dad, Dale Shelton, son Austin Shelton, brother Mitch Shelton, sister LaRee Pyle, brother-in-law James Pyle, sister-in-law Wendy Shelton, and four nephews: Tyler Shelton, Marcus Pyle, Jared Pyle, and Dalton Pyle.

Michele was born in Lamar Colorado on January 8, 1966, to Dale Shelton and Connie Mayhan. Her parents moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1966 where she lived till her mid 20’s. She then lived in Denver, Colorado; Tucson, AZ; Boulder Colorado and her final residence in Brighton, Colorado.

Michele never married, but she has an amazing, handsome son, Austin Shelton, whom she dedicated her life to. She was a good mother who was always there and concerned for his wellbeing. Michele was a good daughter to her father and mother and a loving caretaker in her mother’s final moments. She was a good caring sister and Aunt to her nephews. She loved her dogs, antiques, horses, the mountains, sunrises, sunsets and the outdoors. She also loved music and loved to dance and approached life with laughter and a good sense of humor. She spent many years working as a traffic coordinator for various construction companies. The work was challenging, yet she loved being able to work outdoors and didn’t care to be stuck inside an office. Michele Shelton was a very jovial, kind, caring and loving person who lived her life the way she wanted. She treasured spending time and having fun with family and close friends. One of her favorite things to do was to visualize images in the clouds above which our mom would do with us when we were young. Michele was a beautiful genuine free-spirited soul with a heart of gold and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Her wishes were to be cremated with no funeral services to be held. Michele was very laid back and wanted simplicity in the end. The family will be holding a small celebration of life later.
