Mickey Domenico Obituary

Mickey Lee Domenico passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2021 with family by his side. He was born in Longmont, CO, on July 30, 1955, and was the son of Frank and Bonnie Domenico. Early on in his childhood his family moved to Louisville CO and it has been his home ever since. He attended Louisville High school and graduated from Centaurus High school in 1973.  In his early adult life he traveled and had various jobs around Louisville such as construction work and managed and bartended at the Black Diamond and Blue Parrot restaurants. He eventually settled down and married Lori LaSalle on February 17, 1990. Their love brought two daughters into the world, Rachel and Sarah. He was a very proud father and devoted husband and would do anything for his family.  He started his career at Lowes in 1997 and was looking forward to retirement and to celebrate 25 years at store 220 in April of 2022.

When he wasn’t working he enjoyed fishing, listening to music - especially ZZ Top, sampling craft beer, taking trips to Black Hawk, scratching lottery tickets, playing with his puh-puh Demi and taking road trips with his family. He was an avid NASCAR fan and supported Jimmie Johnson throughout his whole career as the #48 Lowes driver. Mickey also enjoyed working in the yard and growing vegetables. He was especially proud of his multi-generational garlic that was given to him by a Louisville family.  It is now in the hands of his wife and daughters who will continue to grow it and carry on his legacy. He was a handy man and knew how to fix just about everything and loved helping people when he could.

He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, the Louisville Rod and Gun Club and the St. Louis Knights of Columbus. For the last 25 years he donated blood to Bonfils Blood Center and felt very passionately about helping save lives.

Mickey is survived by his wife, Lori, his daughters, Rachel and Sarah Domenico, his sisters, Pamela Evanoff and Elizabeth Domenico-Hartney and his brother, Richard (Melanie) Domenico, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bonnie and nephew Richard Domenico Jr.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and many people of the community but like Mick always said, "Keep the Faith!"

Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, December 5, at St. Louis Catholic Church followed by a Vigil Service at 6:30pm

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 6th at St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial will be at Louisville Cemetery.
